A Whirling Sufi.
A whirling Sufi/Dervish symbolizes the purpose of glorifying God and seeking spiritual perfection. It gives you a sense of a peaceful mind. The aim of Sufi whirling is to reach a higher connection with Allah. They are known for their worship rituals which require the dervish to spin very fast causing his clothing to fan out in a circle.

A dervish is a Muslim monk part of an order known for their wild ritualistic movements.

The whirling dervishes were founded by Jelaliddin Rumi (1207-1273), known to his followers as Mevlana, 'our master', and they flourished in Turkey until 1926 when Kemal Ataturk suppressed them.
